Terms & Conditions

Welcome to DawnedUpon Calm Studio. By using this website and purchasing from us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Section 1: General Information

DawnedUpon Limited (trading as DawnedUpon Calm Studio) is a design practice based in Surrey, UK.

Section 2: Products & Availability

All products are made to order. Colours and textures are represented as accurately as possible but may differ slightly due to screen settings. Fabrics are printed in small batches, and variations may occur between print runs. Natural slubs, weave variations, and small imperfections are part of the nature of linen and not considered faults.

We recommend ordering samples before placing a fabric order to ensure suitability. All fabrics are sold by the metre, with a minimum of 1 metre and increments available in 0.5 metres.

Section 3: Pricing & Payment

Prices are shown in GBP (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
Full payment is required at the time of order.
Payments are processed securely through trusted providers. DawnedUpon Calm Studio does not store card details.
Trade discounts are available by application (see Trade Page).

Section 3a: Trade Orders (Preview Phase)

During the Studio Preview, trade orders are fulfilled using a manual approval system.
Trade discount codes are issued upon request and subject to confirmation.
DawnedUpon Calm Studio reserves the right to verify trade status before fulfilling any order placed using a discount code.

Section 4: Ordering & Lead Times

All fabrics are printed to order. Typical lead times are 3–5 weeks depending on production schedules. Larger or complex orders may take longer, and timings will be confirmed when your order is placed.

You will receive an order confirmation email once your order is placed, followed by a dispatch notification when your order has shipped.

We will notify you if there is any delay within our control. We cannot be held responsible for delays outside our control, including manufacturer delays, supplier issues, or courier disruptions.

Section 5: Shipping & Delivery

Postage and packing are calculated according to the weight and size of the order. Smaller fabric swatches are sent by Royal Mail, while larger orders are dispatched by TNT or another courier.

All deliveries require a signature unless alternative delivery instructions are given. Customers who provide instructions that do not allow the courier to obtain a signature accept that the courier’s recorded date and time will be taken as proof of delivery.

Delivery times provided are estimates only. DawnedUpon Calm Studio cannot be held responsible for delays once an order has left our premises or our manufacturer’s premises.

Section 6: Returns & Cancellations

All products are made to order. For this reason, returns are not accepted unless the product is faulty.

Please check your order as soon as it arrives and notify us within 3 days if there are any issues. We may request photos or a sample to assess any fault. Once fabric has been cut, washed, altered, or used, we cannot accept any claim.

Orders may only be cancelled within 24 hours of being placed.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Section 7: Inspection & Variations

Please inspect all fabrics carefully before cutting or making alterations. Claims cannot be accepted once fabric has been cut, treated, or made up.

Due to the nature of linen, slight variations in weave, slubs, or texture may occur. Colour variations between batches and dye lots are also possible. These characteristics are part of the fabric and not considered defects.

Section 8: Use of Website & Intellectual Property

All content, designs, and imagery belong to DawnedUpon Calm Studio. No reproduction, copying, or commercial use is permitted without written permission. Press and trade clients should request permission before featuring imagery or content.

Misuse of this website or its content may result in restricted access or legal action.

Section 9: Privacy

Personal details are only used for processing orders and sample requests. We will not share your information with third parties except for delivery purposes. For further information, see our Privacy Policy (separate page).

Section 10: Limitation of Liability & Force Majeure

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DawnedUpon Calm Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or the purchase of products. Our total liability in respect of any claim shall be limited to the price paid for the product in question.

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to manufacturer delays, courier disruptions, weather events, or other force majeure circumstances.

Section 11: Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to UK jurisdiction.
