STUDIO NOTES:A PAUSE FOR TEA
Share
CALM. CONSIDERED. LIVING
After sharing the beginnings of my collection, I wanted to pause with something simpler. The slow and gentle act of making a pot of tea always brings me back to the present moment. It’s a ritual that reminds me to slow down and appreciate the simple things in life.
I often take my tea break as a morning or afternoon pause. It helps me stay grounded before the busyness of the day takes over.
What I love about tea made from a pot is that it can’t be rushed. From the time it takes for the water to boil, to the steeping of the leaves, every stage asks for patience. The process itself becomes a lesson – in presence, in gentleness, in waiting for the right depth of flavour.
It’s a beautifully delicate ritual, one that layers my day with calm. Sometimes it’s the smallest acts, like pouring tea into a cup, that help us return to ourselves.
NOTES ON HOME STYLING
For me, it’s not just the tea itself but the space around it. A favourite chair by the window, a linen cloth, or the comfort of a handmade cup turns the ritual into something grounding. These small details remind me that calm often lives in the simplest places.
